THIS PAGE IS THE SITE MAP. AT THE BOTTOM YOU WILL FIND INFORMATION AND VIDEOS ABOUT THE BOOKS AND THE AUTHOR
Thank you for visiting!
Pull down on each page to see the full content. The pages can be long. Double click on all images on this site to enlarge them. Passing your cursor over the image will reveal info about the photo.
The HOME PAGE has articles of note for the clinician which have been super compressed. An Op/Ed (editorial comment – often with a cynical or humorous thrust) follows the latest in lung research or treatment. Clicking on the book cover icons on the left of the HOME PAGE you will be instantly taken to the hardcopy dust jacket art for each novel. There, you can read the back cover teaser just like a real book. Below this are clickable tabs which will take you directly to the purchase through URLs that LUNGLORD has set up with those vendors. No hunting or waiting. On this same page novel art will be sold as posters and tee shirts via GoDADDY.COM and linked the same way.
The first two chapters of LAW OF THE LUNG are available for free. More will be free after May 15th 2015. These chapters introduce the main characters. A Respiratory Therapist’s sister is murdered and the suspect gets off on a technicality. The therapist promised himself that if the suspect ever entered his realm of medicine, it is fate’s intent that he should execute him. Nine years later the murderer is wheeled into Cincinnati Sinai Hospital. This event occurs on the very first day of employment of a new therapist from the west coast. The reader gets to know the book’s characters through his eyes.
The ART heading will vary. It may disappear if no new art is available. Images will be inserted that depict an important scene from the books, or ideas that didn’t work out like planned, but, are worth a peek. ART is on a page by itself so that the feature image can be changed easily and inserted as a full sized version. All art and literary content were created solely by Frank Little and copyrighted in 2011.
LUNGLORD hence (LL) values graphs. Since the Sinai series is set in the future, Medicare funding is covered in the plotline. Look at government graphs posted here to see the burden of medical reimbursement that is sure to come. FUN GRAPHS includes topics not germane to the subject matter of the website. The purpose here is mere entertainment.
Under the HUMOR tab, LL has devised two interesting quizzes for your medical entertainment. Copy and paste to your browser to view the tests. You are encouraged to try them. On the results page for the test you will have to scroll down a bit to get past the advertisement to see your result. Also, on the HUMOR page, you will also find a game inserted there from a popular gaming site. This game will change from time to time. A new joke will be regularly posted to ameliorate any humor deficit.
Discover the Cincinnati Sinai Hospital, where everyone has a secret. Witness murder most clinical and clever. Here you will see: Deceit. Humor. Betrayal. Professionalism. Character Assassination. Genius. Lung Sarcasm. Unleashed passion. Stupidity. Drama. Conceit. Here, Restrained Impulses and Paybacks are most cruel and full of glee.
LAW OF THE LUNG is the first of a six part book series. Deliberately crafted as a fast plot, HBO series styled medical-insider, this suspense-thriller is sure to please. Here, fiction is dipped in philosophy with vivid characters for the reader to live vicariously through. All truths and beliefs shall be tested in the maelstrom coming in books 4, 5 and 6 as those who work in the medical professions must decide for themselves the meaning and impact of luck, time, cure, disease, suffering, fate and what may come after that. Books 1,2,3 are substantive, featuring character development, with riser plots and real discussion of the practice of the pulmonary sciences.
The Cincinnati Sinai Series. Highly visual, dialogue rich, it is as ribald as it is cynical. It explains the technicals and frontiers of pulmonary medicine. It expands outward as the books go forward into the realms of nursing, physicians and a reimbursement system that is struggling to survive. All of this is set in a real world scenario, the year 2025 when Medicare cuts will arrive in full force.

OYE COMO VA by ELAINE ELIAS
A very tasteful rendition of the Santana classic. Flute background.
INTO THE DAWN by JES
(ANGELIC with a rising beat as we go, coupled to a simple periodic synthesizer rub distortion. The song has a sense of space with the echoes and reverb. Note the deft keyboard. As for the lyrics: she wants more than the night of love – but a future also)
SAVE ME by AIMEE MANN
(This girl was the lead singer in TIL TUESDAY–now a more mature sound– lyrics and the tone- Almost identical vocal tonality to Sheryl Crowe, the juxposition of John Lennon style guitar, French accordion, odd background BEATLES vocals is –you wouldn’t put these pieces together–you just wouldn’t and it works…)
VOODOO CHILD by ANGELIC KIDJO
(music starts after 30 secs Such power and african synthesis with jazz and rock)
MY APHRODISIAC IS YOU by KATIE MELUA
(off beat voice and vivid original lyrics that are funny)
COLD by ANNIE LENNOX
(haunting face, lyrics, restraint and thematic. A great song about a dead love or dead husband. Don’t really like her otherwise. Never did. But, this has atypical depth & a tragic, smooth realism. Back up vocals superb. Cant get enough of it )
BAKER by IVY
(Simple, sweet and the tune digs into your brain)
ALL THE WORLD by FAUXLIAGE
(Beautiful lyrical style with full orchestration-full range sound. It is out of the Twilight movie. The woman’s voice has a tiny rough edge to it. To like)
ROME WASN’T BUILT IN A DAY by MORCHEEBA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7FmognvrztU&feature=related
(Who has the stronger voice this girl or Kidjo? This is the closest we get to a commercial song on this list)
COLOUR ME by DOT ALLISON
(Hypnotic, stoner lush smooth, using reverb, polyphony and overtracking so notes are almost overlapping. Expanded sense of time)
THE GARDEN by CUT CHEMIST
(this song is wildly imaginative and addictive-the beginning is jazzy mandolin- no vocals at first- be patient with it- lots of texture and intricate parts. French influences, latin,…hope you enjoy them all……)
SWEET TOFFEE by MOODORAMA
(ECSTATICALLY HAPPY-Jubulant beach music with French and Caribbean influences)
NOVA STAR by MOODORAMA
This song defies my descriptive powers. Jazz, vocals, tribal..it is foreign in every way and clever so clever. Hang for the changes and the piano halfway in. You will like it or loathe it)
GONE by KOSHEEN
(Smooth start then builds to an edgy, articulate, voice driven beat. Sharply crafted and unlike anything else here. This rocks- again splendid background vocals)
RIGHT NEXT TO YOU by ELIZABETH AND THE CATAPULT
TALLER CHILDREN BY ELIZABETH AND THE CATAPULT
(Serene, easy on the eyes and a slight southern inflection moved east coast. She is sweet voiced and her melodies are simpler than others here and sometimes more heartfelt. “Right next to you”….yeah….but where?) __________________________________________________________
LUNGLORD will publish a RARE Tweet starting NOVEMBER 1st. Much of tweeting is irrelevant and trivial. He respects your time. He will only Tweet the compressed journal articles and about books themselves. If there is an important post he will catch you up on it also. Expect no more than two tweets a week. Probably less.
